Tango for Beginners:

Carole Vincent-Wright organises Tango groups in several cities across the North East of England along with Professional Instructors from Argentina.

Carole has a passion and enthusiasm for Tango which is infectious! You will be learning from some of the best people in the business, who can convey not only dance steps and movement, but also an essential appreciation of the music and its influence over the subtly varying styles of Tango seen in differing districts of Buenos Aires.

If you start as a beginner with us we aim to get you up to a competent level very quickly by focusing on the essence of authentic Tango: dancing to express the music and making a connection with your partner. You will soon be bringing together the basic steps and having fun, then more advanced techniques will naturally follow as you develop your understanding of musicality.

You don’t need a regular partner to learn with. The essence of Tango is being able to improvise with any number of different partners. All you need is some smooth-soled shoes and an interest in the music.

Carole would be most pleased to hear from anybody interested in learning to dance!

COME & LEARN TO DANCE TANGO ARGENTINO!

Experience the beauty and purity of the authentic Argentine Tango:-

A passionate sensual dance originating in the streets of Buenos Aires.

Come along to any of our classes or social dances to find out what genuine Tango is all about, how to start to dance Tango, and meet a most diverse group of people of all ages, nationalities and walks of life.

Over the years we have made many friends in Buenos Aires who have chosen to make Tango their life: top teachers, professional dancers and experienced milongueros – but we all share the same thing – a passion for the true spirit of the dance. We regularly invite our friends in the Tango world to come and stay with us in Yorkshire and share their wealth of experience.

At all our clubs we have resident teachers taking regular classes for beginners as well as more advanced dancers, followed by a social milonga until late.

It's a great atmosphere, both for newcomers and for more experienced Tangueros. Whatever your level of experience, if you love this dance please join us one night – you will be made most welcome.

This is a non-profit making cultural society.
The clubs are run with help from volunteers and all
revenue is used exclusively for dance activities.

Tango for Intermediate / Advanced Level:

If you are interested in refining your technique we organise classes for improvers and more experienced dancers at every one of the weekly clubs.

We also arrange private classes and special workshops concentrating on the expression of a particular style or set of techniques.

More advanced students may wish to explore and develop their Tango at a higher level. Whatever your area of interest, from traditional Milonguero style to elegant Tango de Salon, we have the depth of teaching talent amongst our members to help you in your aim.

Carole has taken classes with many Argentinean teachers and hosted some of the most respected figures in the Tango fraternity.

Our wide circle of friends and colleagues brings a diverse range of teaching influences, encompassing the rich and varied Tango culture emanating from Argentina…
